Privacy
Your case is private by default.
MySide is designed for sensitive, messy situations with organisations. This page explains what data is used, why it is used, and what MySide does not do with it.
Last updated 2 July 2026.
What MySide uses your data for
MySide uses your data to provide and protect your account, keep your cases available to you, organise the facts and evidence you add, prepare drafts and summaries for your review, send account or reminder emails where enabled, provide support, process billing where available, prevent misuse and meet legal or security obligations.
Types of data MySide handles
This can include your sign-in details, account settings, case records, notes, timelines, evidence files, correspondence, generated drafts, reminder settings, billing status, support messages and technical information created when you use the service.
Why MySide is allowed to use it
MySide uses personal data where it is needed to provide the service, where it has a legitimate interest in running, improving and securing the service, where it needs to meet legal obligations, or where you have chosen to enable an optional feature such as reminder emails.
What MySide does not do
- Does not sell your case data.
- Does not use behavioural advertising.
- Does not turn your case into a company-facing analytics or reputation product.
- Does not share your case with the organisation you are dealing with unless you choose to send or export something yourself.
- Does not send, submit, chase or escalate anything on your behalf.
Data you may add
You may add account details, case notes, timelines, evidence, correspondence, documents, images, emails, reference numbers, requested outcomes and support messages. Some of this may include personal, financial, health, housing, family or third-party information. Add only what is useful for the case.
Service providers
MySide may use trusted service providers to operate the service, deliver email, process payments, support security and provide optional AI-assisted features. If you use an AI-assisted feature, text you choose to provide may be processed by an AI provider under service controls. You remain responsible for checking the result before relying on it.
Sharing and transfers
MySide shares data with service providers only where needed to run the service, handle support, process payments, secure the platform or operate a feature you use. Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, MySide uses the provider's transfer safeguards and contractual controls where required.
Support and email
If you contact support, MySide uses your message and related account information to investigate and reply. Do not send passwords, card security codes or unnecessary third-party information in support emails.
Your choices
You choose what to add to a case, what to remove from evidence, whether to turn on optional email reminders, what drafts to use, and what to send outside MySide. You can ask support about access, correction, deletion or account questions through MySide Support.
Your privacy rights
You can ask about access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and portability through MySide Support. If you are unhappy with how a privacy request is handled, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
